Junior Development

The MITS Minis Program is designed to develop & educate our students throughout their childhood & adolescence. Our stages are created based upon his/her age group & skill level. Each stage utilizes different teaching methods & equipment to aid each student’s development.


Blue Stage

(3-5year olds)

Tennis Blue Stage MITS Laos

Blue Stage is our early childhood program that focuses on fun – teaching students how to understand & use their body. The basis of our activities is through teaching Functional Perceptual Motor Skills (FPMS), combining them with modified equipment to create a fun & engaging learning experience.

Tennis Ball: red ball (25% compression)
Recommended racquet size: 19-21 inches


Red Stage

(5-8year olds)

Tennis Red Stage MITS Laos

Red Stage is our elementary program that focuses on the basics of the game. Through partner-based activities that utilize FPMS, students get to learn how tennis is played in a safe & social environment.

Court Size: 3m x 8.23m or 6m x 10.97m (mini court/mini net)
Tennis Ball: red ball (25% compression)
Recommended racquet size: 21-23 inches


Orange Stage

(8-12year olds)

Tennis Orange Stage MITS Laos

Orange Stage is our primary stage that considers athletic development & learning the skills of tennis. Understanding & practicing specific strokes, will be introduced to assist physical & mental development. Social & behavioral skills are taught to allow the students to know what it’s like to be an athlete.

Court Size: 6m x 18.29m (reduced full court)
Tennis Ball: orange ball (50 per cent compression)
Recommended racquet size: 23-25 inches


Green Stage

(12-15year olds)

Tennis Green Stage MITS Laos

Green Stage is our secondary stage level that focuses on the transition from an interested player to an active tennis player. Strategic & critical thinking are introduced to help the player build winning habits as well as a competitive mindset. Through advanced training & match play, students get to apply their skills to become a better refined & competitive tennis player.

Court Size: 10.97m x 23.78m (full court)
Tennis Ball: green ball (75 per cent compression)
Recommended racquet size: 25-27 inches

Advanced Programs

The MITS Advanced Tennis Program is based on focusing on the Tactical, Physical & Psychological components of the game. It is squad based and has a coach to player ratio of 1:6 maximum.

Squads provide invaluable volume to a player’s weekly training schedule, as well as give players an opportunity to practice with different players, perform various drills and learn how to construct matches.


Development Squad

  • Introduction to tactical, mental & physical aspects of the game.

  • Focus on drills & match play.

  • Introduction to conditioning training & nutrition.

  • Session lead by Assistant Head Coach.

  • 60min to 90min sessions.


Performance Squad

  • Focuses on high intensity drills, match play & tactical awareness. 

  • Incorporation of fitness testing, on-court agility training, as well as strength & conditioning program.

  • Group based education on nutrition & sports psychology topics.

  • Session lead by Director of Coaching.

  • 90min to 120min sessions.


High Performance Program

Our full time program is available for high performance and tour level players. A dedicated coach will train, travel, manage and consult for those looking to pursue professional pathways in tennis. They will obtain a personalised program for what their training weeks will look like as well things like tactical & technical analysis.

Tennis Social Class MITS Laos

Social Tennis is a group activity where players of any skill level can play the sport in an enjoyable environment. Newcomers & beginners have a chance to learn the tennis basics, while advanced players have the chance to play against other high level players. We host this event weekly to create a community of players that can network & build relationships through our games & activities.


Group

Tennis Group Classes MITS Laos

Group Classes is our recreational activity where players get to learn the sport in a social environment. From technique training to match play, our group classes provide a way for players to put their learning into practice with coaches & other players. This class ranges from beginners, intermediate, to even family classes.


Cardio

Tennis Cardio Classes MITS Laos

Cardio Tennis is a group activity where players get on their feet & work up a sweat through tennis; combining upbeat tunes with HIIT cardio workouts incorporating ladders & sprints. Cardio Tennis is a fun way for adults to become & stay fit.


Corporate

Our Corporate Program provides team-building activities for companies through the game of tennis. Our Program includes basic training & fun engaging group tennis activities, to help promote better work, health & lifestyle balance of the workforce.

Private Coach

Private coaching focuses on the individual needs of an athlete. It is a one-on-one lesson with a coach.

Sessions can be based on any of the 4 components of the game depending on the players & coaches goals.

High-Performance Program


 
Tennis High Performance MITS Laos

The MITS High Performance Program is designed for the competitive and driven tennis player who has the ambition to become a professional tennis player. Comprising of high intensity hitting drills, MITS coaches will mentor the player on the importance of nutrition, sports psychology and a strength & condition program specific for elite performance – through a combination of private and group based training sessions. This program is individually tailored to meet the needs of the serious tennis player, therefore providing a disciplined and challenging training environment, as well as access to world class tennis knowledge, enabling players to unleash their potential in tennis and life.
