Junior Development


Blue Stage

(3-5year-olds)

Tennis Blue Stage. MITS

Early childhood program that focuses on fun-teaching students how to understand and use their body. The basis of our activities is through Functional Perceptual Motor Skills (FPMS), combining them with modified equipment to create a fun and engaging learning experience.

Court Size: variable
Tennis Ball: red ball (25 per cent compression)
Recommended racquet size: 19-21 inches

Concentrates on:

·       Fundamental and Perceptual Motor Skills (FPMS)

·       Spacial awareness

·       Ball tracking skills

·       Hand/eye coordination

·       Introduction to correct body movement and positioning

·       Introduction to racquet mastery


Red Stage

(5-8year-olds)

Tennis Red Stage. MITS

Elementary program that focuses on the basics of the game. Through partner based activities that utilize FPMS, students get to learn how tennis is played in a safe and social environment.

Court Size: 3m x 8.23m or 6m x 10.97m (mini court/mini net)
Tennis Ball: red ball (25 per cent compression)
Recommended racquet size: 21-23 inches

Concentrates on:

·       Spacial awareness

·       Ball tracking skills

·       Hand/eye coordination


Orange Stage

(8-10year-olds)

Tennis Orange Stage. MITS

Primary stage that considers athletic development and learning the skills of tennis. Understanding and practicing specific strokes will be introduced to assist physical and mental development. Social and behavioral skills are taught to allow the students to know what it’s like to be an athlete.

Court Size: 6m x 18.29m (reduced full court)
Tennis Ball: orange ball (50 per cent compression)
Recommended racquet size: 23-25 inches

Concentrates on:

·       Basic technique fundamentals

·       Knowledge of tennis rules

·       Introduction to tactical fundamentals


Green Stage

(9-12year-olds)

Tennis Green Stage. MITS

Court Size: 10.97m x 23.78m (full court)
Tennis Ball: green ball (75 per cent compression)
Recommended racquet size: 25-27 inches

·       Intermediate to advanced technique

·       Intermediate tactical fundamentals


Yellow Stage

(9-12year-olds)

This stage is designed to accommodate teenage players who are wishing to continue their tennis development in a more social and recreational group environment.

Advanced Programs


Private Coaching

Tennis Private Coaching. MITS
 

Private lessons focus on the individual needs of an athlete. It is a one on one session with a coach. Sessions can be based on any of the game’s 4 components, including Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psychological, depending on the players and coaches goals. Private lessons are the fastest way to improve and are recommended to accelerate the advanced player’s tennis development.


Squad Training

Tennis Squad Training. MITS

This program has served as a key part of every developing athletes' weekly schedule, ensuring every player is able to spend more time on the court and has the ability to work on the skills that will take their game to the next level in a challenging and engaging environment.

The aim of this program is to add training volumes to players' training schedules. The sessions will be broken down into 3 parts:
1) Workout - Focused on full-body tennis fitness and movement
2) Hitting - Working on tactical concepts, rally based skills, drills and volume
3) Compete - Competitive drills, game centred and matchplay based

High-Performance Programs


Full Time Athlete Program

Tennis Full Time Athlete Program. MITS

Our full time program is available for high performance and tour level players. A dedicated coach will train, travel, manage and consult for those looking to pursue professional pathways in tennis. They will obtain a personalised program for what their training weeks will look like as well things like tactical & technical analysis.

Adult Recreation Classes


Cardio

Tennis Cardio. MITS
 

Get Fit, Get Better ,Burn calories, increase your fitness and improve your game at the same time in a fun, music-fuelled group workout.

Players get on their feet and work out a sweat through tennis, combining upbeat tunes with HIIT cardio workouts incorporating ladders and sprints. Cardio tennis is a fun way for adults to become and stay fit.


Corporate

Tennis Corporate. MITS

Provides team-building activities for companies through the game of tennis. Our program includes basic training and fun engaging group tennis activities to help promote better work, health and lifestyle balance of the workforce.

Group Lessons


 
Tennis Group Lessons. MITS

Players get to learn the sport in a social environment. From technique training to match play, our group classes provide a way for players to put their learning into practice with coaches and other players. This class ranges from beginners, intermediate to even family classes.

If an individual would like to specialise in the game of tennis and develop their skills at a quicker rate, private & semi-private coaching is the best way to go for an accelerated path to being a skilled player. Whether it be by yourself or with one other player, sessions will be designed to work on what you need and want in order to become a better tennis player.
